Precautions for the use of adhesive label in winter

In cold environment, stickiness of adhesive material has the characteristic of decreasing with decreasing temperature. Adhesive label sticker quality is closely related to the external environment, especially the external temperature, the influence is larger, generally speaking, the temperature is too high or too low will make the adhesive label sticker is not firm. So when we stick stickers in winter, we have a lot of things to pay attention to.

First, the sticker environment temperature should meet the requirements of the product: under the requirements of the sticker temperature (10 C -25 C), normal labeling, 24 hours after the sticker sticker products can be used in the range of temperature (general -5 C ---40 C). Any kind of adhesive material has a related labeling temperature, lower than the temperature, the adhesive glue stickiness of the dry glue is restricted, which will lead to the stickiness of the sticker, and so on.

Two, the storage environment temperature of the label should not be too low: the dry glue printing material is placed in the outdoor or cold environment, and it is easy to cause the material, especially the glue part to be frostbite. Without proper recovery, the stickiness and processability of the adhesive will be lost or lost.

Three, label preset processing: in cold areas, this one ten is important. If the transport and storage conditions can not meet the requirements, and the label temperature is low, even frostbite, although the labeling environment temperature meets the requirements, because of the failure to recover in time, the viscosity and processing performance will be affected as well. Therefore, in the above case, before the processing or labeling operation, the label material should be prepositioned in the labeling environment for a period of time (more than 24 hours), so that the temperature of the label material itself is recovered, thus the viscosity and processing performance can be recovered.

Four, when labeling, attention should also be paid to labeling pressure control and surface cleaning. A suitable labeling pressure ensures the air between the label and the surface. As a result, the label is firmly and smooth. Surface cleaning is also an important factor to ensure stickiness and smoothness of labels.

Five. After completing the labeling, the sticky material of the adhesive label usually takes a period of time (usually 24 hours) to reach the highest value gradually. Moreover, film labels and containers will expand and contract due to temperature changes. Paper labels are more likely to appear wet or dehydrated. These changes are not conducive to the best performance of glue labeling.

Give an example:

Example 1: a veterinary drug factory, when the water needle production line labeling, the label in the labeling process, there is a serious "flying mark" phenomenon (label attached to the glass bottle immediately fall off), after some labels are glued up, a force, and immediately fall off, the label can not be used. After our company's after-sales service personnel to the customer production site to understand: its water needle glass bottle surface with water mist, serious water droplets.

The solution is to reheat and dry the glass bottles with water mist and water drops. The phenomenon of "flying standard" disappeared, and its labeling quality was qualified to meet normal production.

Analysis: there are water mist and water droplets on the surface of the paste (glass bottle), which can not meet the labeling requirements.

Example two: in a pharmaceutical factory, the environment and temperature of the labeling meet the requirements of the normal labeling, and there is no water on the sticker (glass bottle), but it is not labeled when the labeling is made. It was found that there was a layer of impurity on the surface of the glass bottle.

The solution is to reprocess the batch of glass and remove the impurities, then the labeling production is carried out normally to meet the quality requirements of labeling.

Analysis: this kind of situation is caused by impurities on the surface of the paste.

Example three: a brand production plant is labeled in the environment of 0 ~5 C, and the adhesive label adhesive is frostbite and hardened to cause the label to be unused. The specific performance is that, because of the label hardening, partial labels are separated or shedding in the turning part of the labeling machine and affect the normal labeling. Due to the loss of adhesive viscosity, labels on plastic buckets are raised or even dropped.

Solution: strengthen the thermal insulation of the workshop, improve the temperature of the workshop and keep it at about 10 C, use the same batch of labels for production. The above bad phenomena disappear and the quality of the labeling is qualified.

Analysis: the key to this problem is not meeting the labeling environment temperature. Under the lowest labeling temperature, sticky adhesive will be greatly restricted. Different glue must have different temperature requirements for labeling. Attention should be paid when using them.

Example four: in winter, a northern daily chemical factory labelling on the plastic bag of washing powder, the environmental temperature of the labeling is above 12 degrees C, and the plastic bag is immediately pulled into the open warehouse after the labeling, and the temperature of the warehouse is below zero. Three days later, when the product was out, it was found that the label was seriously raised or shedding.

The solution is to change the product to the indoor (room temperature of 12 degrees Celsius) for a day and then move it into the open warehouse.

Analysis: the crux of the problem is that the labeling does not provide sufficient temperature conditions to ensure its viscosity. The labeling process of the sticker label is divided into two stages, that is, the label is combined with the surface of the sticker under the action of pressure, and the slow flow of the glue pre coated on the dry glue material is fully combined with the surface of the attached material and plays its best stickiness. The lower the ambient temperature, the slower the glue flow. Experiments show that after glue labeling, it usually takes 24 hours to achieve the best viscosity. Therefore, it is suggested that the labeled containers or products should be placed for at least 24 hours in the labeling environment or in the environment that meets the labeling temperature after labeling. Do not put containers or products that are just tagged immediately into a larger temperature range. Otherwise, the stickiness of the glue will be affected. In addition, film labels and containers will expand and contract due to temperature changes. Paper labels are more likely to appear wet or dehydrated. These changes are not conducive to the best performance of glue labeling.
