Preflight Inspection-Common Problems in Output
1. Wrong or missing characters
2. Image overcolor problem
3, binding problems
Incomplete or non-working documents
5. The size of EPS and TIFF files in the whole page orchestration program is too large.
6, small color areas have not been converted into the correct color mode.
7. File format (may cause output confusion)
8. TIFF files have not been converted from red, green and blue mode to yellow, green and black four-color mode
9. Insufficient bleeding
10. The original used storage medium is not formatted.
Have you encountered any of the above problems? The following are some of the situations summarized by Anmei Mall.
Whether the characters used in the printing are marked in the 1.
The name, version, number, and font (TrueType or Postscript) of all characters should be indicated, making sure that you are selecting the actual characters from the character menu (e. g. GaramondBold), rather than selecting a style such as "Bold" from the style menu. At the same time, the pre-press service provider or printer should be consulted about the requirements for character documents. In some RIPs, mutual interference between TrueType and Type1Postscript characters causes character substitution and string bits.
2. if all colors have been converted from red, green and blue to yellow and black
If you do not convert the image to a yellow, blue and black pattern in your electronic file, the printed image may be black and white or have an unacceptable color cast. Remember that all colors are named in the file, and the image colors designed and introduced in the image processing program should also be guaranteed to use the same name exactly.
Unless you plan to print small patches or common colors with spot color ink, you should be sure to use the yellow, cyan and black setting mode for all colors. As long as the full page layout program allows, small color block areas should also be converted to color mode.
Whether the 3. can print bleeding when needed
Anmei Mall found that it should be confirmed that all bleeding printing was extended to the edge of the page number as required by the printer. It is very convenient to realize image bleeding in a full page layout program, but it is relatively time-consuming and expensive to print.
Whether the 4. has considered the original proofing of the document
Black and white laser printouts or color proofs of the final document shall be delivered. If the document is delivered to the printing service provider via telephone line and modem, be sure to fax the laser print sample or deliver the sample sample at the same time. To confirm that the proofs were obtained from the same electronic document that was delivered to the printing service or printer.
If the page is too large to print an original sample of the same size as the actual size, be sure to mark the reduced scale on the sample. Color prints should be printed on a laser printer with color separation proofs (in black and white). In addition to providing color proofs to printers, color separation proofs should also be provided, making sure that each color separation proof is correctly marked. And check the color separation sample color separation is correct and the color number of color separation. If black-and-white proofs are provided, the sections printed in different colors shall be clearly marked.
5. all notes noted
The name, address and contact number shall be clearly stated on diskettes, portable media, printed proofs and proofs. In short, there should be a conspicuous mark on all documents or media delivered to the printing service or printer. At the same time, you should send a list of all documents or media you have transferred to the printing service or printer.
